Review: The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask

After hearing quite a lot of raving reviews about The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask, I thought it was finally time for me to step up my skin routine game and give it a go. I was excited to try this, as it promises to leave your skin looking bouncier and feeling restored.

It is very straight forward to use. I use it in place of my routine night time moisturiser, just to see if I noticed a difference in my skin. So I literally scoop out a pea sized amount with the little scooper, and then rub it into my face after cleansing my face at night. The smell of it smells so refreshing, kind of smells like aloe vera. But I don't honestly know if it has aloe vera in it.

Did it work?
I have used it every night for the past 10 or so days, and I personally have not found it to have made a difference to the feel/look of my skin. I have had a lot of compliments in regards to how my skin looks to other people. The only reason I think I haven't noticed a difference, is because my face is so dry after just cleansing it, so I always use probably too much moisturiser on my face to start with. Then as the day goes on, my skin goes back to its normal hydrated self. BUT I only use a tiny little bit of this sleeping mask, and it hydrates my skin so well. My boyfriend (of all people) has said my pores have reduced in size, and my overall skin looks tighter and "bouncier." As I mentioned, it smells amazing, and it feels so nice on the skin when first applied. It feels greasy when it first goes on, but as it sinks into your skin, it dries. I guess that's why they say you should wait at least 15 minutes before tucking up into bed.

It's great if you're like me and want to have a hydrating facial mask, but are so lazy to apply it, wait half an hour, then wash it off, then apply moisturiser. You literally just apply this last to your routine and you're good to go - no washing off. Nothing. It's simply great!

It is more on the expensive side to MY budget for products, however I think it's so worth to just spend that little bit extra, especially when it comes to your face. And on the plus side, I can seriously see this lasting for months and months and months. So there is another bonus to add to the list!

Overall, I am very impressed with this product. Although I haven't seen a major difference myself, I am pleased with the compliments I've been receiving (because who doesn't like to be complimented once in a while?) I think this is going to be a future staple item in my night time cleansing routine.

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts? Are there any other Body Shop products you would recommend?
